"The floating garden" has a mild temperature in winter and attracts many people from the Nordic countries.

Funchal can be reached from Helsinki by direct charter in about 6 hours. By scheduled flights via Copenhagen or Frankfurt and Lisbon it might take 10 hours or more. Our first trip here was in January 1993 and we decided to return. Now we have made our third trip. Read about it and see new photos!
